The Only Free Homeopathic Organization of its Kind
HIP maintains the only free and/or low cost homeopathic organization of its kind in the US. We support the physical, cognitive and emotional re-integration of veterans and other economically marginalized people with tailored homeopathy. While our all-volunteer staff specializes in treating PTSD, TBI and other crises associated with combat, homelessness and poverty, we also provide free and/or low-cost homeopathic care to the wider population in the communities we serve. Additionally, we staff and program a training platform for homeopaths so that we can increase the reach of our work caring for the underserved. For appointments in San Francisco or Redwood City call 650.383.7683.
Homeopathy Institute of the Pacific is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization entirely staffed by volunteers.

Wanda Smith-Schick continues to tirelessly volunteer her time and energy working at the Mission Neighborhood Resource Center Clinic, the Flood Building Clinic in San Francisco, the Spring Street Clinic in Redwood City. With a BA in Speech Communications from CSU Long Beach, she establishes easy rapport with her clients. Coming from a multi-generational military family, Wanda understands the needs of veterans and their families. Bringing dignity and hope to the clinics she treats health challenges, acute and chronic diseases, for the homeless and the disenfranchised.
Wanda's private practice locations are in Palo Alto and San Francisco California where she treats acute and chronic health concerns via Classical Homeopathy and Core Synchronism. She is passionate about the practice of homeopathy and has witnessed the amazing transformation homeopathy provides.
As a Classical Homeopathic Consultant, Wanda has completed training and internship at the Institute of Classical Homoeopathy in San Francisco, California. She has also completed Core Synchronism & Core Lymphatic training from New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her writing has been published in Homeopathy Today. Johanna fell in love with homeopathy in the early 1990's, when she began using homeopathic remedies for herself, and soon after for her toddler. The 'energy-medicine' aspect of homeopathic microdoses was what compelled her to enroll in the 4-year program at the Institute Of Classical Homeopathy.
She held her own homeopathic practice in San Francisco for 10 years, adding LLLT (Low-Level Laser Light, or Cold Laser) to her repertoire in 2009, and is currently working on her certification as a Divine Healing Hands Healer, which she considers a higher octave of her first love--homeopathy.
Johanna is the newest Board Member of HIP, and currently is training to participate in the HIP Veterans Clinic with her beloved colleagues. She is also a member of the Bay Area Homeopathy Association (BAHA), and the National Center for Homeopathy (NCH). X
Amishi Natani Khandelwal has been in clinical practice of Classical Homeopathy for 8 years.
She received her homeopathic training from Dhondumama Sathe Homeopathic Medical College, India, but moved to the US in 2002. She graduated from Rosalind Franklin University of Health Sciences, Chicago, as a Physician's Assistant. Currently she is employed in a private clinic in Santa Clara.
Amishi espouses a holistic model of health which emphasizes organic nutrition, green living, and dynamic movement healing modalities like yoga. Conducting educational lectures on homeopathy in her clinic and in the community, Amishi shares her passion for homeopathy. She has witnessed marvelous healing through homeopathy in acute, chronic, and mental cases in adults and children, confirming her faith in homeopathy as a gentle yet powerful natural medicine.
Amishi also serves as the Secretary of the Illinois Homeopathic Medical Association, and is very happy to be a part of the HIP Board. She is available for consultations at the low cost clinic at Redwood City. X
Cristina Garelli is Clinical Director and Board Member for HIP. Her significant gift of time comes with her expertise and compassion that so engender healing. Cristina is essential to our success, and we are very appreciative for her valuable skills and generosity.
Cristina Garelli was born and raised in Italy where she studied architecture at the “Politecnico di Torino.” She has lived in the United States since 1991. Following her daughter’s diagnosis with a rare genetic disease in 2004, she started studying homeopathy. She obtained a degree as a CHom from the British Institute of Homeopathy in 2009 and she has studied since then with many other world renowned homeopaths such as Will Taylor, Farokh Master, and André Saine. In 2011 Cristina started volunteering at the Mission Neighborhood Resource Center Clinic and, not long after that, joined Wanda at the Flood Building Clinic in San Francisco and at the Spring Street Clinic in Redwood City.
